Flight Experience

Singapore Airlines operates an Airbus A350 on this route. The business class cabin is arranged in a 1-2-1 layout so each seat has direct aisle access.

While the seats are lie-flat, you have to sleep diagonally in the bed position because of the way the foot wells are situated. If you're taller, you might find this a touch annoying. The bulkhead seats are a bit better though.

The crews are known for being proactive and friendly. Some would say they're among the best in the air. Similarly, the inflight catering gets high marks.

I suggest using the online Book the Cook feature to ensure you get your first choice meal.

Where To Credit The Flights

These fares will book under D fare class You can use Where To Credit to check which options will earn the most redeemable miles.

You can earn a ton of redeemable miles by crediting these flights to Alaska Air Mileage Plan. Alternatively, I would consider program that partners with a transferable points program that you use.

I'll flag Air Canada Aeroplan, Avianca LifeMiles, Turkish Miles&Smiles, and United MileagePlus as options to consider.

If you have elite status with Alaska Airlines or a Star Alliance carrier, you that could tilt things in their favor.

Use GCMap to check the flight distance and calculate redeemable miles.

Final Thoughts

Singapore Airlines offers a great business class product and it's unusual to see such a good cash deal on their Houston-Manchester flight. I wouldn't hesitate to book this if you want to visit Europe!

Happy booking!
