Austrian Airlines To Europe, Up to 9 Seats

Austrian Airlines isn’t the most generous with award space, but they’re a bit better in the winter months. With that in mind, I wanted to flag some some business class space for up to nine people in early 2027.

While there’s more space on the return, Montreal (YUL) and Washington Dulles (IAD) have a decent amount of space on the outbound as well.

Flight Experience

All flights during the winter appear to be operated by a Boeing 787 with a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout. Personally, I think this is the best Austrian business class. If you’re on a Boeing 767, the layout is staggered 1-2-1 while the staggered layout on a Boeing 777 will be a combo of 1-2-1 and 2-2-2.

Austrian excels with DO&CO catering. If you like coffee, make sure you try their Viennese coffee. Save the coffee for breakfast if you want to sleep though.
