Qantas To Release Award Space at 7pm ET
At 7pm ET (about an hour from now), Qantas has said it will release additional award space on international routes. As I imagine this space is going to go quickly, I wanted to flag when it goes live so you can jump on it.
While I will try to pull up award space quickly and send it, my concern is that much of it will be gone by the time I do. So, if you're planning a trip to Australia, make sure you're ready to search.
I would search with Qantas before checking partners. Recently, AA and Alaska weren't showing space that was available but BA did. If you see space on Qantas and want to check if partners see it, search the date you want on BA.
Then, if BA shows it, check AA/Alaska fi you want to use either of those programs but be prepared to call to book.
Finally, if you're going to use Qantas points to book, keep in mind that Amex and Citi transfer are usually almost instant.

Final Thoughts
How much space Qantas actually releases is very much unknown. Last time they did this, there was a nice chunk of biz class space to so families could book.
So, while we don't know what availability will look like, I wanted you to be prepped and ready to go if you want to try to grab seats to Australia.
