ITA Airways Business Class to London (Summer)
In mid-April, ITA Airways dropped fares to just below $1,600 for flights starting in August. Since then flight prices have jumped. That is, until a a couple of days ago when they released a great fare of $1,686 for July and August.
There are several dates in early 2024 with sub-$1,600 fares.

Flight Experience
ITA Airways has their new A330-900neo as well as the older A330-200 on this route. Personally, would try to book the newer aircraft, but both will have a staggered 1-2-1 business class cabin layout with lie-flat seats.
The inflight dining gets high marks as do the crews. You'll also have access to ITA's Piazza di Spagna Lounge in Rome.

Best Ways To Book
I ran several test searches with both Amex Travel and Chase's travel portal. Unfortunately, neither would show ITA Airways. As such, your only option is to pay cash. You could save ~$80 booking via an OTA, but I'm not sure it's worth risking the hassle if there are any issues.

Where To Credit The Flights
This is an "I" (eye) fare class ticket. Unfortunately, Delta will only allow you to earn miles if they marketed the ticket and the same goes for Air France-KLM.
However, it does appear that Virgin Atlantic Flying Club will allow you to earn points on flight marketed and operated by ITA Airways so I would add your Virgin Flying Club number to your ticket.
Use GCMap to check the flight distance and calculate redeemable miles.

Final Thoughts
It's been a bit since we've seen a great business class fare to Europe so this really exciting. I'm not sure I can fit this into my schedule right now but I'd love to try ITA Airways myself!
