Alaska: Best Rate, No Surcharges
At 57,500 miles, Alaska Mileage Plan provides a great option to book without carrier-imposed surcharges. The tough part is earning the miles as Marriott is the only transfer partner.
American: Great Rate, No Surcharges
Similar to Alaska, American AAdvantage won't pass on the surcharges which will help keep your out of pocket costs to a minimum. Starting at 62,000 miles one-way, it's a solid way to book. You can transfer Bilt points to AA.
Cathay: Great Rate, Low Surcharges, Easy To Earn
While Cathay will pass on some of the surcharges, your total taxes/fees will only be $200-300 on a one-way award. When you consider the fact that you can transfer Amex, Bilt, Capital One, and Citi points, using 63,000 Asia Miles is a solid option.
