Delta One (Business Class) To Lima From $1,437
It's often tough to find business class award space to many South America destinations, especially if you want to get a lie-flat seat. That's where fare deals can really fill in the gaps.
Delta currently has a fare starting at $1,437 to Lima on a bunch of dates out of Chicago and it can be booked with Amex or Chase points.

Now, let's get into it!

Flight Experience
On the 6.5 hour flight from Atlanta to Lima, Delta operates an Airbus A350 that they acquired from LATAM. So, rather than having Delta One Suites, it's a simple 2-2-2 business class cabin layout.
While the seats aren't private, they are comfortable and lie-flat. If you want to ensure direct aisle access without a neighbor stepping over you, select a seat in the middle section.

Where To Credit The Flights
This fare is an Z fare class ticket. You can use Where To Credit to check which options would earn the most redeemable miles or help you earn elite status.
If you're simply looking to earn redeemable miles, I would credit to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club or Air France-KLM Flying Blue. If you're working toward elite status with Delta, credit the flights to your SkyMiles account.
Use GCMap to check the flight distance and calculate redeemable miles.

Final Thoughts
It can be tough to find award space or even a great fare deal for a lie-flat seat to South America so this is a great option for a more comfortable flight.
Happy booking!
