ITA Airways Business Class To Italy, 2 Seats
As often seems to be the case with ITA Airways, when they announce a new route, they release business class award space for two people. As they just announced a Toronto route yesterday, I wanted to flag some space!

Flight Experience
ITA Airways operates three aircraft to the US with different business class cabin layouts.
- Airbus A330-900neo: 1-2-1 staggered
- Airbus A330-200: 1-2-1 staggered
The A330neo aircraft has the newest business class products and would be my choice. Regardless, ITA has received great reviews for their food, drink, and amenities. Crews also get high marks for being friendly.

Best Ways To Book
The options are so close that your best option is most likely the one that requires you to transfer fewer points. If you already have points with one of these programs, it's likely to be that one.
Flying Blue: Has A Slight Edge From Toronto
At 74,500 miles one-way, Flying Blue has a small 500-mile advantage over Virgin Atlantic. You can transfer Bilt, Amex, Capital One, Chase, and Citi points.
Flying Blue will let you include a stopover but it will increase the miles required.
Virgin Atlantic: Nearly The Same Rate
Virgin Atlantic requires 75,000 points for a one-way ticket. If you already have enough Virgin points, go with this option. Even if you only have some Virgin points, it could be a better option if you have to transfer fewer points.

How To Book
The fastest way to search is on Virgin's site.
- Select one-way or round-trip
- Select Upper Class
- Select Pay with points
- Select Flying From and Flying To cities
- Select date(s)
- Select number of passengers
- Run search
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club will put award space on hold for up to 24 hours, but you'll need to call to do so (800-862-8621).
Flying Blue will allow you to hold award space over the phone and you can include a stopover if you want to see two cities on one award ticket.

Final Thoughts
It's great to see ITA Airways launch another route and offer a nice chunk of award space. If you took advantage of the Bilt transfer promo, this is one heck of a way to book a trip to Europe!
