Air Tahiti Nui Business Class For 2 (Up To 8) Seats

If you're looking for an island adventure, might I suggest Tahiti. While there aren't a ton of dates available, you can find dates with space for up to 8 people. That's wild! Usually, I see space for 2 people and no more than 3.

Now, let's get into it!
Important Notes

I decided to spend a few days in NYC before flying to Europe. I'm thinking an STTP Meetup is in order. Let me know if March 18 or 19 works for you!

Two $900/90k-point business card sign-up bonuses end March 21. I have links to cards here if you decide to apply. Thanks for your support!

Flight Experience

Let's be honest, a 2-2-2 cabin layout isn't exactly in the conversation for best business class layouts (Apex Suites are an exception). While only some seats will have direct aisle access, the seats are still lie-flat. Just skip the row 4 window seats which don't actually have a window.

The inflight food and beverage options get good marks and the crews are generally friendly.
This flight has award space for 8 people! April 7, if you're curious.

Best Ways To Book

Alaska Mileage Plan: Best Award Rate + Stopovers

At 60,000 miles one-way, Alaska has a big advantage over American. Plus, you can include a stopover on a one-way award ticket for no extra miles. The tough part is earning the necessary miles since you can only transfer Marriott points or earn Alaska miles directly with its co-branded cards.

American AAdvantage: Solid Award Rate + Hold Award Space

American's rate isn't quite as good at 80,000 miles one-way. However, you can transfer Bilt and Marriott points or earn miles directly with co-branded cards so it's easier to earn the miles you need to book. Plus, you can put award space on hold for up to 5 days while you finalize plans.

How To Book

  1. Go to AA's site
  2. Select Advanced / Multi-city search (just click this link)
  3. Select Redeem miles
  4. Select One way or Round trip
  5. Enter From & To cities
  6. Select departure date(s)
  7. Choose the number of passengers
  8. Select Class as Business/First
  9. Click Search
  10. If you're searching for a nonstop, select Calendar then sort by nonstop.
  11. Once you know which dates have space, you can run a search from your home airport if you're not booking nonstop
Remember: American will let you hold award space for up to 5 days.

Searching with Alaska is easy as well. Just select Use Miles on Alaska's homepage and run the search.

Final Thoughts

It can be tough to find business class space to Tahiti so it's great to see a nice some space on Air Tahiti Nui's routes from Los Angeles and Seattle. Since space is tough to find, I would book sooner rather than later.

Happy Booking!
