Finnair Business Class, Up To 2 Seats
We haven't seen much Finnair business class award space since late 2021, so it's great to see an option to book two seats on a ton of dates next year.
There's just one quirk to this award space. You can only book two seats with one partner program. Fortunately, it's easy to earn the points you need!

Flight Experience
Finnair's business class is arranged in a 1-2-1 layout and the seats are different than you'll find on any other airline.
The seats don't recline. Rather, the padding lines the shell of the seat so you can sit or recline against it as you might a couch. I actually really like the seat on my flight to Helsinki a year ago. Has it been a year already?!
I've flown Finnair business class three times so far and have always found the crews to be friendly and helpful. While I wouldn't say the food is the best you'll find in business class, it's more than good enough.
If anything, Finnair is known for its glassware - probably my favorite in the sky. So, enjoy a glass of champagne or one of their signature cocktails.

Best Ways To Book
Cathay Pacific : Your Only Option For 2 Seats
This is the only option to book two seats. Fortunately, Cathay's award rate is quite good at 63,000 miles one-way with reasonable taxes/fees. Even better, you can transfer points from Amex, Bilt, Capital One, and Citi.
If you include a connection within Europe on Finnair, please keep in mind that the award rate will increase. Similarly, if you include a domestic connection on Alaska or American, the award will be governed by Cathay's Oneworld multi-carrier award chart.
American: Great Option For 1 Seat With Bilt Points
While American can only book one seat, 57,500 miles is a great way to book a one-way award. If you want to book two seats, you could book one with American miles and the second with Cathay Asia Miles.
As a test, I put one seat on hold with American miles and a second seat was still available when I searched with Cathay Pacific.
Alaska: Great Option For 1 Seat With Bilt Points
From JFK and Chicago, Alaska Mileage Plan has a slight advantage over American at 55,000 miles one-way. So, if you're transferring Bilt points, this is the way to go. Remember, you can only book one seat.
Finnair Plus: Good Option For 1 Seat With Capital One
Finnair is your best option with Capital One miles, but just barely. You'll need 62,500 points instead of 63,000 with Cathay Pacific. However, you'll only see one award seat - yes, I know that's strange.

To search with Cathay Pacific:
- Select Redeem flights
- Enter your origin and destination.
- Select One way or Return
- Select class of service and number of passengers
- Select date(s)
- Click Sign in to redeem
- Enter login info and sign in
- Select your flights
If you want to book with Asia Miles and include a connection, you might need to call (833-933-2244) to complete the booking.

Final Thoughts
If you're looking for flights to Europe early next year, this is a great option with several departure airport options. Hopefully, we'll start seeing other oneworld programs get access to Finnair award space soon!
