Copa Airlines Business Class to Santiago, Chile

Copa Airlines has a great business class fare to Santiago that's worth your attention. Normally, I avoid sending Copa fares as they don't operate many aircraft with life-flat seats in business class.

Fortunately, you can get a lie-flat on the 6.5-hour segment from Panama to Santiago and on the 3-hour flight between Orlando/Miami and Panama.

The key is finding a flight operated by one of Copa's Boeing 737MAX 9.

Now, let's get into it!

Flight Experience

The selling point with Copa's Boeing 737 MAX9 is the lie-flat seat. As the cabin is arranged in a 2-2 layout, not all seats will have direct aisle access, but this is still much better than the recliners we often seen on routes to South America.

I wouldn't expect to be amazed by the experience overall, especially if you've flown top tier products such as Qatar Qsuites. Reports indicate that the inflight entertainment selection isn't great so download some shows before you fly!

As I haven't flown with Copa yet, I'd love to hear about your experience.

Where To Credit The Flights

This fare is an R fare class ticket. You can use Where To Credit to check which options would earn the most redeemable miles or help you earn elite status.

If you're simply looking to earn redeemable miles, I would suggest a program that partners with a transferable points program you use. I would consider Air Canada Aeroplan, ANA Mileage Club, Avianca LifeMiles, or United MileagePlus.

Use GCMap to check the flight distance and calculate redeemable miles.

Final Thoughts

It can be tough to find award space or even a great fare deal for a lie-flat seat to South America so this is a great option for a more comfortable flight.

Happy booking!
