Cathay: Your Only Option
While Cathay's award rates are a bit steep, they're our only option to book this one. It really just comes down to whether you want to transfer Amex, Bilt, Capital One, or Citi points.
If your itinerary includes a connection in business on Cathay Pacific, you can actually reduce the award rate. For example, connecting to Singapore drops the rate from 160,000 miles to 151,700 miles.

To search with Cathay's site:
- Go to Cathay Pacific's award booking page
- Select One-way or Return (aka round-trip)
- Select origin and destination
- Select cabin class and number of passengers
- Select date(s)
- Select your flight and click next
If you want to use Asia Miles and include a connecting flight on Alaska or American, you'll need to call (833-933-2244) to complete the booking.
