Flight Experience
ITA Airways has their new A330-900neo as well as the older A330-200 on this route. Personally, would try to book the newer aircraft, but both will have a staggered 1-2-1 business class cabin layout with lie-flat seats.
The inflight dining gets high marks as do the crews. You'll also have access to ITA's Piazza di Spagna Lounge in Rome.

Best Ways To Book
When searching with Amex Travel, my initial search didn't show ITA Airways as an option. However, when I chose to update the search with a preferred airline and selected Alitalia (ITA's predecessor), Amex Travel showed the fare.
If want to book with points the Amex Business Platinum's 35% rebate provides the best option at just under 103,000 points round-trip.
I wasn't able to see the fare in the Chase travel portal. You might try calling to see if a phone agent can pull up the fare, but I don't have any data points.
If you're booking a cash ticket, I would book direct with ITA Airways.

Where To Credit The Flights
This is an "I" (eye) fare class ticket. For those looking to earn redeemable miles that you can supplement with transferable points, I would consider Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Air France-KLM Flying Blue.
Unfortunately, Delta doesn't allow you to earn Medallion Qualifying Miles (MQMs) on ITA Airways flights unless the ticket is sold by Delta.
Use GCMap to check the flight distance and calculate redeemable miles.

Final Thoughts
It's been a bit since we've seen a great business class fare to Europe so this really exciting. I'm not sure I can fit this into my schedule right now but I'd love to try ITA Airways myself!
