TAP Business Class to Lisbon & Porto from $1,258
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I know I did.
I'd hoped to send this yesterday but was a bit busy eating all of the food!
With that said, while you're hunting for Black Friday deals, let me add a fun fare deal to the mix. TAP Air Portugal has a nice business class fare out of Toronto that allows you to see both Lisbon and Porto. Two cities for the price of one!

Now, let's get into the details!

Flight Experience
Some flights will be operated by an Airbus A321neo. It's a single aisle aircraft with a cabin similar to the older JetBlue Mint product which is arranged in 1-1/2-2 layout. The food won't blow you away but the crews are friendly.

Best Ways To Book
This is one heck of a points booking if you have the Sapphire Reserve. For comparison, 83,634 Chase points is barely more than United requires for a one-way business class award to Europe on TAP Air Portugal. Even with the Sapphire Preferred, 100,360 Chase points is a great deal.
If you're booking a cash ticket, I'd probably book directly with TAP Air Portugal. They're not known for being the best when there are cancellations (or other issues) but going through an OTA might make it even tougher.
Alternatively, you might opt to book via a travel agent since they book directly with TAP and will handle changes for you.

Where To Credit The Flights
Since these are cash tickets, you can earn redeemable airline miles so make sure to attach your desired loyalty program number to your booking.
If you're not sure which program to use, check Where To Credit to see which options will earn you the most redeemable miles.
I'd consider crediting these flights to a program that is also part of a transferable points program.
- Air Canada Aeroplan: 200%
- Avianca LifeMiles: 200%
- Singapore KrisFlyer: 200%
- Turkish Miles&Smiles: 150%
- United MileagePlus: 125%
I think Aeroplan, LifeMiles, or United will be the best options for most people. It just depends which transferable points you typically earn. If you have elite status with a Star Alliance program, that could impact your decision as well.
You can use GCMap to check the total flight distance if you want to calculate redeemable and status qualifying miles.

Final Thoughts
I had a wonderful time visiting both Lisbon and Porto a couple of months ago. Both are definitely worth a visit and there's plenty more to see in Portugal.
If you include visit to Lisbon, my friend Antonio is a fantastic tour guide. You can check out his tour schedule here.
Happy booking!
