Hawaiian Airlines First Class, Up To 8 Seats |
| Well, I forgot to update the Virgin Atlantic rate to the west coast rate. Fixed it below. Shout out to Gary Leff for flagging this for me!
If you’re looking for lie-flat seats to Hawaii for multiple people, I wouldn’t pass up this option if you live on the west coast (or close to the west coast). With up to eight award seats available, you can bring your whole family or a bunch of friends!
Now, let’s get into it! |

Regardless of cabin layout, you can expect friendly service and solid inflight catering. Please note that these tickets don't come with lounge access. Boeing 787-9
The first class cabin layout is arranged in a 1-2-1 layout that's similar to Virgin Atlantic Upper Class on the A350. The window seats are angled away from the aisle while the middle seats are angled toward the aisle.
Each seat will have privacy doors and an entertainment screen (unlike their old product).
Airbus A330-200
This is the older product. You’ll find a 2-2-2 layout with little privacy, but every seat is lie-flat. The only way to guarantee aisle access without your seat mate needing to climb over you is to select a middle seat. Seats do not have IFE screens, so download some shows and movies to your phone or tablet before your flight. |
| Best Ways To Book
Virgin: Great With Chase or Citi Transfer Bonus
Typically, I’m not a big fan of Virgin’s rate of 40,000 points for a one-way award ticket. However, with Chase’s 40% transfer bonus, you’d only need 29,000 Ultimate Rewards points and that’s a great option. With Citi’s 30% transfer bonus, you’d only need 31,000 ThankYou Points
Hawaiian: Great Rate + Combine Alaska Miles
Hawaiian offers a the best rate at 40,000 miles one-way. You can transfer Amex points directly to Hawaiian or you can transfer Bilt points to Alaska then move your Alaska miles to Hawaiian. |
