Fiji Airways Business Class, 2 Seats

As is often the case with new routes, Fiji Airways released a bunch of business class award space on its new Dallas route today! If you’re interested, I would book right away as business class award space to the South Pacific can be tough to find!

Shout out to STTP member Eric B for flagging this!

Flight Experience

Fiji Airways business class is arranged in a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout. It’s a popular cabin layout as it provides a decent amount of privacy and all seats have direct aisle access.

The crew get high marks for being friendly and attentive. Many consider the inflight catering to be solid enough, but not particularly special.

Best Ways To Book

Qantas: Great Option With Capital One Transfer Bonus

Qantas isn’t usually the best option at 94,900 points, but it’s the easiest option as other airlines aren’t showing award space. If you have Capital One Miles, the 20% transfer bonus means you’ll only need to transfer 80,000 Miles to Qantas. Now, that is a great way to book.

British Airways: Best With Amex Transfer Bonus If You Can Book

If you can get a phone agent to book this for you and you have Amex points, the 30% transfer bonus means you’d only need 72,000 points to get the 92,750 Avios you need to book.

Cathay: Best Rate With Citi, Easy To Earn

If you have Citi points, 89,000 Asia Miles is your best bet on this one. The tough part will be finding dates with award space.

Alaska: Best Rate With Bilt, Tough To Earn

It can be tough to earn Alaska miles but, if you earn a lot of Bilt points, the 75,000-mile rate is the best of the bunch when there isn’t a transfer bonus. However, you’ll need to call to book.

American: Solid Rate If You Have The Miles

Without a transfer partner, this is a tough one at 80,000 miles. If you have the miles, though, it’s a solid way to book. Again, you’ll need to call to see if you can book.
