For the best experience, you'll want to find Air France and KLM flights operated by aircraft with a 1-2-1 business class cabin layout. This will provide the most privacy and direct aisle access in addition to a lie-flat seat.
Please keep in mind that there’s a chance a flight could be operated by an aircraft with a 2-2-2 layout. You’ll still have a lie-flat seat, but not seats have direct aisle access and you won’t have much privacy.
Personally, I prefer KLM’s crews, while Air France’s catering has a slight advantage. |

At 50,000 miles one-way from all Canadian airports and access to more award space, Flying Blue will be the best option in most cases. If you have Chase points, it’s an every better option with a 20% transfer bonus. With the bonus, you’d only need 42,000 Ultimate Rewards points.
Virgin Atlantic: Great Off-Peak Rates From Eastern Canada
If you’re flying out of Montreal, Ottawa, or Toronto on off-peak dates and don’t have Chase points, 48,500 Virgin points will be your best if Virgin Atlantic has access to the award space. |
