Air Serbia Business Class From 70K Points

Often forgotten, Air Serbia provides a great option for a non-stop flight to Eastern Europe. However, it doesn’t operate daily flights out of Chicago or JFK, so it can be tough to find award space. With up to 7 seats available on some dates this winter, I wanted to flag this opportunity to book.

You might be able to find award space on connecting flights to destinations such as Athens, Budapest, Istanbul, Sofia, and more!

Now, let’s get into it!

Flight Experience

I had a nice experience on my flight in December 2021. However, Ben from One Mile At A Time had a less than awesome experience in 2022.

Personally, I found the crew to be friendly and the local Serbian wines to be quite good. Order both meals as soon as you can to ensure you get your preferred options.

Since the aircraft doesn't have WiFi and the inflight entertainment options are limited, I would suggest downloading some movies/shows prior to departure.

Best Ways To Book

Aeroplan: Great Rate, No Surcharges

Aeroplan is your best option at 70,000 points one-way. Plus, if you have the Chase Aeroplan card, you can get a 10% bonus when you transfer 50,000+ Ultimate Rewards points to Aeroplan. That means, you’d only need 64,000 Chase points.

If you connect from a city farther west than Dallas, you’ll likely exceed 6,000 flight miles and need 90,000 points.

You can also include a stopover for 5,000 additional miles. Use GCmap to calculate your total flight distance and double-check Aeroplan's award chart.
