First off, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone for helping to make the first year of the "new" Straight To The Points a success. I couldn't have imagined that you, the points and community, would be as supportive as you have been.
I know the last year has been a mix of ups and downs when it comes to travel and many of us have faced health challenges in the last couple of years. However, I'm excited for the year ahead and committed to delivering the best content I can to help you achieve your travel goals.
Exciting Things Coming To Straight To The Points For Year 2
In the past few months, I've been hard at work behind the scenes (with the help of a few good friends) to make STTP even better. In the coming months, you'll see some of this work put into action.
Personally, I'm excited for the updates and can't wait to share. I'll be sure to send you a note as features are added.
Don't worry, this isn't some stealth airline devaluation thing. :)

Site Revamp: Articles, Award Alerts Archive, & More
Since I started the newsletter in August 2018, my site has simply been a place where people could sign up and that's just about it. While I regularly post tips and tricks, guides, etc. on Instagram, I haven't been posting on the my site.
However, that's about to change. With improved functionality and additional resources, the website will become a go-to hub for Straight To The Points.
Articles
Since many of you have told me that you don't use Instagram, I'm going to start putting these posts on my site. I plan to include additional info that I can't fit within Instagram's character limit.
While I don't plan to cover all of the travel industry news, you can expect succinct guides and resources. I'm not writing to maximize SEO or generate clicks with fancy titles. I'm writing to help you utilize points and fare deals.
Award Alerts Archive
I'll also be adding an archive of Award Alerts for Premium members going forward. If you misplace an email, you'll be able to find it on the site.
Member Profiles
This has been a huge pain on the current site so I'm completely redoing this to make managing your membership and seeing Premium-only content easier.

STTP Referral Bonuses
This might be my favorite development!
I've been wanting to find a way to reward those who share my newsletter with friends and family and I think this is it. So, Premium members will receive referral links to Straight To The Points Premium.
When someone uses your link to sign up for an annual membership, you'll receive a $10 referral bonus. Like Rakuten, the plan is to pay out quarterly.

STTP Member Meetups
This past summer, I hosted a last-minute meetup when I was in New York. I was amazed by the turnout and loved meeting so many of you. Since the STTP community is one of my favorite parts of writing the newsletter, I'm going to be putting together several meetups throughout the year.

Earlier this year, I partnered with an award booking service. Many of you worked with them and I heard great reviews. Unfortunately, they decided to move on to different projects.
However, I expect to have a new partner shortly to help when you have a very specific award booking need.

While many of you have a solid grasp of earning and redeeming points for luxury travel, I've received numerous requests for a guide or course to jump start the process of learning how to use points.
So, for those trying to shorten the learning curve, I'll be publishing a quick start guide to help you along. If you're more of a points beginner, this one is for you.
