Flight Experience

Let's be honest, a 2-2-2 cabin layout isn't exactly in the conversation for best business class layouts (Apex Suites are an exception). While only some seats will have direct aisle access, the seats are still lie-flat. Just skip the row 4 window seats which don't actually have a window.

On the plus side, the inflight food and beverage options get solid marks and the crews are generally friendly.

Best Ways To Book

Alaska: Best Option With Amex Or Bilt Points

If you have Amex or Bilt points, or you’re just sitting on some miles, Alaska Mileage Plan is the best way to book at 60,000 miles one-way. You can even include a stopover when connecting on Alaska Airlines. Just keep in mind that the total flight distance could increase the award rate.

American: Solid Option If You Have The Miles

Since American doesn’t have a bank transfer partner, this is a tough option. The rate isn’t terrible at 80,000 miles, but you can only earn miles with co-branded credit cards issued by Barclays and/or Citi. Of course, you might have AA miles from cash tickets on oneworld carriers, the AA shopping portal, etc.
