TAP Air Portugal Business Class, Up To 8 Seats

TAP Air Portugal just announced a new route between Boston and Porto, so I wanted to flag a nice chunk of business class award space next summer and fall. You’re best bet to find space is the outbound, but there are a few dates on the return.

If you’re a Rosewood Hotels fan, the 30% off Cyber Week Promo ends tonight. Email me to book with Rosewood Elite perks or book via our self-serve booking portal.

Flight Experience

This route is operated by an A321neo with a combo 1-1/2-2 business class layout. It's basically the same layout as the older JetBlue Mint product. While the food won't blow you away, the crews are friendly.

Best Ways To Book

Aeroplan: Great One-Way Award Rate

Aeroplan is a great option at 60,000 points one-way. If you have the Chase Aeroplan Card, you can also get a 10% transfer bonus when you transfer 50,000+ Ultimate Rewards points which means you’d only need 55,000 Chase points.

Please keep in mind that connections could increase the rate to 70,000 points or even 90,000 points if you fly connect from the west coast and within Europe.

You can also include a stopover for 5,000 additional miles. Use GCmap to calculate your total flight distance and double-check Aeroplan's award chart.

ANA: Great Round-trip Option, Slow Amex Transfers

At 100,000 miles round-trip, ANA Mileage Club is your best round-trip option for most routes. However, Amex is your only transfer option and transfers can take a few days.

Connections won't increase the award rate but could increase the taxes/fees if you connect in Europe on a Star Alliance partner that has surcharges.

How To Search
