Flight Experience
JetBlue's new Mint product on the Airbus A321LR is arranged in a 1-1 cabin layout. That's right, it's a narrow-body aircraft. Don't let that deter you, it's still a very nice experience for a shorter transatlantic flight.
While I wish the seats weren't angled away from the windows, I found the Mint Suite to be spacious enough to sleep comfortably. Or, if you're like me and struggle to sleep on planes, at least snooze a little.
On both of my flights, I was really impressed with the food as well as the crew. They genuinely seemed to want passengers to have a great experience.
One think I'll note is that if you're on a full flight to London, I would suggest sitting toward the back of the cabin if the flight is full and to get your meal and dessert served together. Even with the crew hustling like crazy, it took them a while to get everyone served - downside of single aisle.
If you want to upgrade the experience a bit, you can pay $299 to book a Mint Studio (the first row of the cabin). These two seats have a ton of space and you'll be served first so you can get to bed or settle into a movie.
So far, JetBlue has not partnered with any lounges to offer lounge access on these tickets. As such, you'll have to rely on Priority Pass or the Amex Platinum (or Business Platinum) for lounge access.

Best Ways To Book
Emirates Skywards is the only reasonable option when booking an award ticket in Mint. At 64,000 miles one-way and no surcharges is a solid way to book.
Please keep in mind that round-trip cash fares for JetBlue Mint to London can drop below $1,950 out of both JFK and BOS. If you have the Sapphire Reserve or Amex Platinum, you might be able to get a better deal via their travel portals.
Before you book, I recommend checking the cash fares for your dates and considering which option would be best for you. Don't forget to factor in the award ticket taxes/fees.
Of course, if flights on your travel dates are steeper this could be a great option. Plus, one-way cash tickets can be super expensive so an award ticket could really come in handy if you want a one-way ticket.

- Choose to search for the exact date or +/- 1, 2, or 3 days

If you don't have ExpertFlyer, you can use Emirates to run a search.
- From the homepage, log into your account
- Select "Advanced search: multi-city, promo codes, partner airlines"
- Select "Book Classic Rewards Flight"
- Select "Search partner flights only"
- Enter your origin/destination, dates, and select business class

Bottom Line
It's great to see JetBlue launching flights out of Boston and to both London Heathrow and London Gatwick. Hopefully, this will help with cash fares out of the northeast but, if nothing else, it's great to see a nice chunk of award space.
Happy booking!
