KLM Business Class To Amsterdam, Up to 4 Seats
Flying Blue just launched this month's Promo Rewards! This round includes a 25% discount on KLM business class from both Montreal and Toronto.
Even without the promo, you can transfer Citi points to Flying Blue with a 25% bonus. Of course, if you can combine both promos that'd be amazing!

KLM also has a good amount of business class space on several other other routes, but I'm having some issues with the search so I'll send another alert when I can get all the dates pulled together.

Flight Experience
Candidly, I love flying with KLM. I find the crews to be friendly and helpful. Ideally, you'll fly one of KLM's Boeing 787 Dreamliners as the reverse herringbone business class seats are the best they offer.

Best Ways To Book
Flying Blue: Great Rates, Free Stopover, More Space
Flying Blue's award rate of 55,000 miles one-way on these two routes is fantastic. Just remember that there are surcharges between $250 and $275 on a one-way award ticket. That's not terrible, just not great.
If you don't feel like paying ~$530 in taxes/fees on a round-trip award ticket, I would consider booking the outbound with Flying Blue then booking a different award on the return.
This round of Promo Rewards runs through November 30. At 25% off, you can get a one-way award for as few as 41,250 miles.
If you pair that with the 25% transfer bonus from Citi, you'd only need to transfer 33,000 points to get 41,250 points for a promo award. Beyond promo dates, it's still a great option at only 44,000 points to get 55,000 miles.
Please keep in mind that award rates vary by origin/destination pair. In fact, many itineraries with connections will require fewer miles. You can use the Miles Price Estimator to check the saver rate for your specific route.
Connections on partners will generally increase the award rate. You can include a stopover if your itinerary is operated entirely by Air France and/or KLM but you'll need to call to book.
Note that Flying Blue members get access to more award space than Virgin.
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club: Great Option From The East Coast
If you're booking off-peak dates, Virgin only requires 48,500 points for a one-way award between the east coast and Western/Central Europe. That's a great deal, but it's even better if you transfer Chase points with the 30% transfer bonus. You'd only need to transfer 38,000 points.
Even the peak rate could be better than Flying Blue but it depends on the route, especially with the transfer bonus. If you connect to Eastern Europe, the award rate does increase quite a bit.
Remember, Virgin won't see all the award space that Flying Blue members see.

How To Book
IMPORTANT: I had all kinds of issues running searches today. If you don't see any award space or you see 285,000+ miles required on the dates listed, try clearing your browser's cache and/or using an incognito browser.
You can pick either Air France or KLM's site and run your search. I use Air France and the process works like this:
- Select "Book with miles"
- Select "Log in"
- Sign into your account
- Enter your origin/destination
- Enter your travel date(s)
- Enter the number of passengers
- Enter the class of service
- Run the search
- Select your flights
- Click through to book
Transfers to Flying Blue are generally instant so you don't usually need to worry about award space vanishing. However, you can call and have them hold award space for you. The US number is 800 375-8723.
If you want to book a free stopover, you'll need to call to book.

Final Thoughts
