Air Canada Business Class To Scotland

Hello from Jakarta!

With space for up to 6 in business class, Air Canada provides a great way to fly to Edinburgh. If Glasgow is on your list, it's only a quick train ride away.

Before you book the nonstop, I would check to see if there's award space on the connection to Toronto from your home airport. Similarly, check for connecting space in Europe if you want to visit other destinations.

Now, let's get into it!

Flight Experience

The business class cabin is arranged in a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout. You'll have a lie-flat seat and direct aisle access regardless of which seat you choose. Personally, I like the window seats.

I will caution that the quality of the food can be inconsistent. I had a nice meal on one flight while the other was subpar. Similarly, the crew on one of my flights was great while the other seemed a bit less interested. Still, for a flight to Europe, I don't think this will be a huge issue.

If you want to check out Air Canada's Signature Suite - it's a restaurant within the Maple Leaf Lounge, it's a much better dining option than inflight. I was really impressed with the food, drink, and service. You'll need to book a flexible award with Aeroplan points to have access.

Best Ways To Book

Air Canada Aeroplan

Plan on using Aeroplan points to book as the vast majority of dates are not available to partner programs. Still, with award rates as low as 59,600 points one-way, this is a solid way to book.

You can add a connection on partner programs, but keep in mind that this could change the award rate.

You can use GCmap to calculate your total flight distance. A stopover requires 5,000 additional miles on a one-way award.

How To Book

Use Air Canada's site to search.
  1. Select one-way or round-trip
  2. Check Book with points
  3. Select origin & destination
  4. Select date
  5. Select number of passengers
  6. Click Search flights
  7. Select your flight
  8. Choose Lowest Reward or Flexible Reward
  9. Log into your account
  10. Enter your info and pay taxes/fees

Final Thoughts

If you're looking for a trip to Europe to finish the summer or something this fall, this could be a great option. If you're already planning travel for next spring, this could be a great way to lock in flights. Regardless, Scotland has plenty to offer!

Happy Booking!
