SkyTeam Business Class to India from $2,197 (Jul-Oct)
I've received an influx of requests for flights to India recently and this SkyTeam business class fare deal is a great way to get there. The ticket is sold by Delta but can be operated by partners such as Air France, KLM, or Virgin Atlantic.
Now, let's get into it!
Shout out to The Flight Deal for flagging this.

Card Spotlight: One Bonus Ends, Another Begins
The 80,000-point welcome offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card is expected to end on Thursday at 9am. If you were planning to apply, I'd take care of it soon. If you apply in-branch, you can get an extra 10k points for an extra $2k in 6 months.
The Amex Green welcome offer is at an all-time high of 60,000 points for $3k in 3 months + 20% back (up to $200) on travel/transit purchases in the first 6 months.
You can find links to either on my Best Cards page if you'd like to support my work.

Flight Experience
The flight experience will depend on which airline operates your flights. Personally, I love the KLM and Virgin Atlantic crews. Virgin had the best catering and lounge of the bunch. I know many have had great experiences with Air France but my flight wasn't great. My Delta was solid but not amazing.
When it comes to the seat, it's a mixed bag of cabin layouts. I would try to book a flight with a 1-2-1 cabin layout: KLM's 787, Virgin Atlantic's A350 or A330-900neo, Air France's A350 and most 777s, and Delta's A350 or A330-900neo.

Best Ways To Book
I ran several searches with the Chase travel portal but, unfortunately, I was unable to find the fare. If you want to book with points, that leaves you with either the Amex Business Platinum or Business Gold.
Amex IAP provides a nice discount on the fare so you can get the best deal with either an Amex Platinum or Business Platinum. If you have the Business Platinum, you can use even fewer points thanks to the IAP fare.

Where To Credit The Flights
These flights book into Z fare class. Even though some of these flights are operated by Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic, they are Delta tickets. That means the miles you earn is based on a Z fare class Delta ticket.
Use Where To Credit to check which options would earn the most redeemable miles or help you earn elite status.
Your best option to earn miles is Virgin Atlantic Flying Club followed by Air France-KLM Flying Blue as you can supplement either with several transferable points programs. For those earning Delta status, you can credit these flights.
Use GCMap to check the flight distance and calculate redeemable miles.

Final Thoughts
We haven't seen a business class fare to India this low in quite a while so it's great to see! If you want to see other parts of India, you could get a separate ticket from Delhi to places such as Mumbai and Goa.
Happy booking!
