Air France-KLM Business Class, Up To 8 Seats

Flying Blue just released this month’s round of Promo Rewards and they included business class from Montreal. With a 25% award rate discount, this is a great time to use Flying Blue miles so I pulled the dates you can book at least two seats.

Flight Experience

For the best experience, you'll want to find Air France and KLM flights operated by aircraft with a 1-2-1 business class cabin layout. This will provide the most privacy and direct aisle access in addition to a lie-flat seat.

Personally, I prefer KLM’s crews, but many people prefer Air France’s catering.

Flying Blue: Great Rates, Free Stopover, More Award Space

Flying Blue's saver award rate from the US to Europe of 50,000 miles one-way is great. However, the Promo Reward rate of 37,500 miles one-way is fantastic.

The fact that you can transfer points from Amex, Bilt, Capital One, Chase, and Citi make it easy to earn the miles necessary.

You can include a stopover on a one-way but you'll need to call to book. Connections on partners will generally increase the award rate.

KLM business class space for 2.

How To Book

You can pick either Air France or KLM's site and run your search. I use Air France and the process works like this:

  1. Select "Book with miles"

  2. Select "Log in"

  3. Sign into your account

  4. Enter your origin/destination

  5. Enter your travel date(s)

  6. Enter the number of passengers

  7. Enter the class of service

  8. Run the search

  9. Select your flights

  10. Click through to book

Transfers to Flying Blue are generally instant so you don't usually need to worry about award space vanishing. You can call to hold award space or book a stopover. The US number is 800-375-8723.

Final Thoughts

Flying Blue’s one-way saver award rate of 50,000 miles is already compelling. With the Promo Reward discount dropping that to 37,500 miles, it’s a an absolute steal!

Happy booking!
